I started a blog so that i could write about my feelings and such things that i don't mention to my friends at school.

But, you see, once i started this blog, i couldn't help boasting about it to my friends.

So now a couple of my friends know the existence of this blog. I can't talk-or write-freely anymore without worrying that someone from my school will read it.

I gave it some tought and i decided that the best way is to end this blog.

I am still writing. Only anonymously on another blog. I don't mind anyone online reading about my most intimate secrets/fears whatever as long as they don't know me in person.

Don't think i'll delete this whole blog though. There're lots of memories collected here.

If somehow, which i think is highly unlikely, anyone at all would like to keep on reading about my life, feel free to leave a comment or email me and i'll tell you my new blog address.

And lastly, thanks to all who left comments on this blog before, and those anonys who support my blog. I really appreciate it even tough i have no idea who the hell you are ;P

Crazy teachers gave us SO DAMN MANY homeworks for the week long holiday. Nearly every subjects got homework!

Siao~ Now where else got time to do revision you tell me. Anyway...

No more posts until after final exam. That's roughly a month from now. Sept. 26/27... I'm not sure.

Just thought i'd let you know beforehand so you won't keep wondering. As if anyone cared whether i didn't post for so long because i'm dead.

Worst exam disease

Why is it that when exam is approaching, i tend to waste my time more than when there are no exams?

It's like, i can spend 2 hours online every normal day, and on some occasions i felt like i've seen everything on the net or just ran out of anything better to do online, during off-peak seasons.

And then when exam is just around the corner, i got hooked on this and that. Just when i thought i have finished those, i accidentally spotted another and so on and so on.

You know, i registered with YouTube a month ago and it was damn boring i never visit the site again, until now. Now when its packed with thousands of videos and i can't help telling myself 'this is the last one'.

What do you call this freaking weird habit? I dunno. But you wouldn't want to mess with it, especially if you're already procastinating like mad.

Wish i could do something about it.

T-Rex: Back to Cretaceous and Haunted Castle 3D Movie Marathon

Went for the free movie marathon at IMAX in Berjaya Times Square today. Two 3D movies back-to-back, with a 15 minutes interval between T-Rex: Back to Cretaceous and Haunted Castle 3D.

They're giving out 500 complimentary movie passes to OCBC card holders. So dad brought me there along, saving RM60 movie tickets' price. In addition, we were entitled to a ~~cold~~ hot dog and a drink each.

Movie started at 11.00 A.M.

Maybe i was setting my hopes a bit too high. The movies i mean.

You see, the t-rex movie. I was kinda hoping it'll be something like the Walking With Dinosaurs, maybe better because it's in 3D.

You know, lots of dinosaurs walking around... T-Rex roaring in your face, threatening to eat you up... I thought it will be documentary-like, narrations in the background.

But no.

When Ally, the daughter of Paleontologist Dr. Donald Hayden accidently disturbs a very special fossil egg, she is magically transported back 65 million years to the Cretaceous Period!

~~So that late-twenties-looking-woman is actually 16. Hmm...~~

Well, the movie focuses more on Ally than the T-Rex. You see a lot of close-ups of Ally, her expressions, some scenes in the museum, her dad... And the scenes with T-Rexes? A few flashes and a pretty lame roar looking at the fact that they are claiming "16 amplifiers generate more than 12,000 watts of power, not volume, to provide the audience with life-like sound".

They could do better.

Dad said it the storyline was a bit off the track. The magically transported back thingy... I'm okay with the plot. A bit imagination never hurts.

But they can do way better than this with modern technology.

The Haunted Castle 3D movie is more to the fantasy genre. It's about, well, ghosts.

There's this ~~guy~~ ghost from the movie which acts something of a guide to Johnny, the main character. I dunno. He looks sorta futuristic kind of ghost to me. I thought ghosts should look ancient, old fashioned. I half expected to see boosters on the back of this particular ghost.

Anyway, wouldn't spend RM15 on an adult ticket to watch another, if you ask me. If you wanna watch it, take it more like experiencing the 3D effect rather than watching a movie.

Step aside from the two movies, they showed a couple of Coming-Soons before the movie started. There's this Space Station 3D that looks quite interesting, for a space buff like me. Might worth the RM15.

Teacher nearly left because of my birthday

Kinda lazy to update my blog these few days.

Yesterday my birthday.

And it sucks big time.

Why?

A teacher got pissed off.... because of my birthday.

You heard it right the first time.

You see, it was Chinese lesson. Like always, more than half the class were mindin their own business. You know, sleeping, chatting, doing homework... the usual stuff.

Then my friends decided to sing me a birthday song, IN THE MIDDLE OF THE LESSON.

I warned them. But they didn't listen.

So it turned out the teacher was pissed because they didn't even asked for permission to sing the birthday song.

And then the teacher said she will not step into our class anymore if we continue to ignore her during Chinese lessons.

Should i wish i've never been born?

Hiroshima Day Peace March

Hiroshima Day Peace March today. Also my first personal purposely-go-there-for-shooting outing.

Woke up late at 7 o'clock. Went there by KTM. Walked a little to Padang Merbuk, didn't see a single soul. So dad and i thought it was over or something like that.

Was walking back when dad stopped a man and asked. Good thing he asked, or we'll miss the whole march. The people were over near Dataran Merdeka.

I didn't know peace marches are like this. You know, banners, posters, whistles, free mineral waters, photographers, policemen etc. I thought by march, they meant band marching. Naive little me.

Anyway, my first outing.

Had to build up some courage to take pictures in front of all those telephoto lenses. It's not easy for me. Intimidated by those big gears, me.

You know those perfect feng-shui places to take pictures, i dare not go near. The pros are over there. I don't wanna block their view and ruin their photos or anything like that.

Dad practically shouted at me because he can't stand me missing out on all those perfect opportunities to get a good shot.

And then i build up courage as the march progressed. Got way in front of the frontline to shoot. Getting into the middle of the main street armed with a P&S was quite fun actually.

We stopped at somewhere Lake Garden there. There were prayers made by a whole lot of different religion leaders.

Near me was a couple of Malays who joked and laughed loudly when a person was asking for one minute silence to pay respect for the people who were killed in the attacks 60 years ago. Dunno from what school.

The people who showed up were little. If there wasn't any schools participating, there would be even less people.

After some speech was performances by dunno who. Dad and i left the place when an AF girl was singing.

Living

During this period, ENTPs explore the closeness until they can be certain that they have looked at all of the possibilities. Because of this, they are not likely to settle down early. Seldom are ENTP's conformists. ENTP's enjoy outwitting the system and use rules and regulations within the system to win the game-whatever it may be. They understand well the politics of institutions and deal with these realities very well, always aiming to understand the people within the system rather than to judge them. ENTP's are good at innovative projects and can administer them well if dull routine is not involved. They usually are outstanding teachers, continuously devising new participative ways to make learning exciting for the students. As an employee, an ENTP may work against the system just for the joy of being one-up. For ENTP's, to be taken-in, to be manipulated by another, is humiliating; this offends their joy in being masters of the art of one-upmanship. Home

As mates, ENTP's tend to create a lively living environment. They are gregarious, laugh easily and often, and are typically in good humor. Orderliness in the routines of daily living is not apt to inspire them; they usually solve this problem by mobilizing those around them. Tom Sawyer illustrated this talent when he solved the problem of getting Aunt Polly's fence whitewashed. Life with ENTP's is likely to be a daring adventure; they can lead families to physical and economic dangers. Midlife

Mates

The inventive ENTP finds in the ISFJ a neat complementarily for his enterprise, for in the ISFJ he finds the supreme conservator. The conservator, broadly conceived, is morally bound to ensure the material and legal welfare of his or her charge. The inventor, also broadly conceived, is bent on replacing whatever tools, operation, or enterprise now exists with a better one. Out to exercise his ingenuity in bettering things, the ENTP is of necessity iconoclastic and tends to be so seen. So he can get into a bit of trouble with the elders, who usually are not all that pleased to see their tried-and-true tools, operations, and enterprises blithely set aside for the ENTP's better mousetrap. The ISFJ, mated to this inventive rascal, takes on the task of squaring things with the establishment.

The ENTP also may be attracted to his opposite on the N side: he approaches the INFJ. But the INFJ is humorously and preposterously different from the seemingly similar ISFJ. In the INFJ lies the soul of the "author"-the meaning-giver, the mystic, the oracle. Perhaps the INFJ is a conservator of the soul, a sort of messiah. At any rate, there is something about the "author" (very broadly conceived) which the ENTP covets. Prometheus had to pay dearly for giving fire to man. The Promethian ENTP may figure that, though his INFJ mate may not rescue his body from the vultures, at least the INFJ might rescue his soul from Hell.

"Clever" is the word that perhaps describes ENTPs best. The professor who juggles half a dozen ideas for research papers and grant proposals in his mind while giving a highly entertaining lecture on an abstruse subject is a classic example of the type. So is the stand-up comedian whose lampoons are not only funny, but incisively accurate.

ENTPs are usually verbally as well as cerebrally quick, and generally love to argue--both for its own sake, and to show off their often-impressive skills. They tend to have a perverse sense of humor as well, and enjoy playing devil's advocate. They sometimes confuse, even inadvertently hurt, those who don't understand or accept the concept of argument as a sport.

ENTPs are as innovative and ingenious at problem-solving as they are at verbal gymnastics; on occasion, however, they manage to outsmart themselves. This can take the form of getting found out at "sharp practice"--ENTPs have been known to cut corners without regard to the rules if it's expedient -- or simply in the collapse of an over-ambitious juggling act. Both at work and at home, ENTPs are very fond of "toys"--physical or intellectual, the more sophisticated the better. They tend to tire of these quickly, however, and move on to new ones.

ENTPs are basically optimists, but in spite of this (perhaps because of it?), they tend to become extremely petulant about small setbacks and inconveniences. (Major setbacks they tend to regard as challenges, and tackle with determin- ation.) ENTPs have little patience with those they consider wrongheaded or unintelligent, and show little restraint in demonstrating this. Extraverted iNtuition

ENTPs are nothing if not unique. Brave new associations flow freely from the unconscious into the world of the living. Making, discovering and developing connections between and among two or more of anything is virtually automatic. The product of intuition is merely an icon of process; ENTPs are in the business of change, improvement, experimentation.

The attraction Extraverted iNtuition has toward the real and physical amounts to a cosmic non sequitur: theory is drawn to practice. Such encounters are clearly puzzling. Both parties--the intuitor and the realist--are aware of a xenic quality in their meeting, with reactions ranging from recoil to reverie.

Introverted Thinking

Thinking is iNtuition's ready assistant, an embodiment of the sort of logic found in laws, boards and circuits. Thinking's job is to lend focus and direction to iNtuition's critical mass. The temporary habitations of changeling iNtuition are constructed of Boolean materials from Thinking's storehouse. Ultimately, Thinking is no match for iNtuition's prodigiousness. Systems lie in various states of disarray, fragmentary traces of Thinking's feverish attempts to shadow and undergird the leaps of the dominant function. One can only suppose that Thinking must continue to work during REM sleep pulling together iNtuition's brainchildren into integral wholes.

Extraverted Feeling

To the extent that Feeling is developed, ENTPs extravert Feeling judgment. As a result, it is not uncommon to find affability and bonhomie in members of this species. Tertiary functions are potentially utilitarian. Their limitations appear in their relative underdevelopment, diminished endurance, and vulnerability. ENTPs may harness Feeling's good will in areas such as sales, service, drama, humor and art. ENTP loyalty often runs high and can be hooked by those the ENTP counts as friends.

Introverted Sensing

Like a tail on the kite of iNtuition, Introverted Sensing counterweighs these beings drawn to nonconformity and anarchy. These shadowy sensory forms, so familiar to SJ types, serve as lodestones which many ENTPs employ Herculean measures to escape. "Question authority! (then do exactly what it tells you)" sums up the dilemma in which ENTPs may find themselves by attempting to best the tarbaby Sensing. Occasionally acknowledging awareness of norms and abnormality could, in theory, be potentially freeing.

Additionally, I've noticed that ENTPs have the need to have areas of expertise/excellence/uniqueness in which one is second to none. I've never beaten an ENTP at his/her own game--not in the final analysis. (e.g., just tonight, my neighbor who is recuperating from an illness received a call from an ENTP friend offering his special recipe for tea. The instructions required only the finest ingredients, a particular brand of orange juice, tea made with a ball--none of those horrid teabags--..., which will of course make the best tea of which he himself drinks 50 gallons each winter!)

ENTps normally have a long, slim figure. Other parts of the body are also stretched, especially the legs and fingers. They often have rounded shoulders. Sometimes ENTps have a characteristic inwardly sloping chin. Because of their particular physical structure their clothes always seem to fit pretty badly, often slipping down and hanging off them in an unflattering manner. Their buttons also seem to have a habit of falling off.

ENTps usually have a distant, far away look in their eyes and it often seems as though they are paying little attention to what is going on. During conversation ENTps like to play with objects, like a pen for example, often accidentally breaking it. They may gesticulate when passionately telling a story.

ENTps do not know how to keep the right psychological distance with people. This becomes especially noticeable during long term interaction. One day they can be friendly and the next day they can be completely opposite. They often behave unceremoniously and can rudely butt in on others conversations. ENTps can also find it difficult to evaluate how others feel about them and therefore can make mistakes when choosing friends.

ENTps like to explore everything and are usually completely unaware of how others react to this. They often propose ideas that although have great potential are completely impractical at the time. As usual, they soon forget about that idea and generate a new one, which has no less potential and originality but has no logical connection with the previous. ENTps pay little or no respect to their past achievements. They hardly ever admit when they are at fault. Even if they apologise formally they usually continue to behave the same as before.

ENTps are interested in and talk about everything that is new and unusual even if it is not in their main field of knowledge. It is as if they are magnetised by all brand new theories and are fascinated by all phenomena that can not be explained with logic or reason, for example: ESP, telekinesis and UFO's. They cannot logically explain their ideas as they are always intuitive and vague. Most people cannot fully comprehend their concepts, they simply believe or do not believe.

The main peculiarity of ENTps behaviour is an incredible absent-mindedness. They usually leave items where they used them and have a tendency to constantly lose smaller objects. ENTps work place and personal belongings are often kept in disarray. They invariably forget what they have already done and what they need to do. However, they are quick and shrewd in day to day matters, taking advantage of every opportunity that arises. Because of this others may consider them to be crafty or shifty.

The other main peculiarity of ENTps behaviour is the ability to mobilise in extreme conditions. If somebody puts pressure on them they immediately counterattack, often with more than equal force. They also like to give people advice on how to extricate themselves from difficult entanglements, often proposing the most radical solutions. If ENTps are not interested in a particular job, they try to leave it until the last moment. Then in very short period of time they can complete all awaiting jobs, but of course the quality suffers.

One more peculiarity is the element of chaos and destruction that ENTps bring to every field of their activity. This is especially noticeable in well established institutions where strong discipline is commonplace. However, they implement this chaotic element creatively, generating reform from the destruction. Because of this quality ENTps often become leaders.

ENTPs are fluent conversationalists, mentally quick, and enjoy verbal sparring with others. They love to debate issues, and may even switch sides sometimes just for the love of the debate. When they express their underlying principles, however, they may feel awkward and speak abruptly and intensely.

The ENTP personality type is sometimes referred to the "Lawyer" type. The ENTP "lawyer" quickly and accurately understands a situation, and objectively and logically acts upon the situation. Their Thinking side makes their actions and decisions based on an objective list of rules or laws. If the ENTP was defending someone who had actually committed a crime, they are likely to take advantage of quirks in the law that will get their client off the hook. If they were to actually win the case, they would see their actions as completely fair and proper to the situation, because their actions were lawful. The guilt or innocence of their client would not be as relevant. If this type of reasoning goes uncompletely unchecked by the ENTP, it could result in a character that is perceived by others as unethical or even dishonest. The ENTP, who does not naturally consider the more personal or human element in decision making, should take care to notice the subjective, personal side of situations. This is a potential problem are for ENTPs. Although their logical abilities lend strength and purpose to the ENTP, they may also isolate them from their feelings and from other people.

The least developed area for the ENTP is the Sensing-Feeling arena. If the Sensing areas are neglected, the ENTP may tend to not take care of details in their life. If the Feeling part of themself is neglected, the ENTP may not value other people's input enough, or may become overly harsh and aggressive.

Under stress, the ENTP may lose their ability to generate possibilities, and become obsessed with minor details. These details may seem to be extremely important to the ENTP, but in reality are usually not important to the big picture.

In general, ENTPs are upbeat visionaries. They highly value knowledge, and spend much of their lives seeking a higher understanding. They live in the world of possibilities, and become excited about concepts, challenges and difficulties. When presented with a problem, they're good at improvising and quickly come up with a creative solution. Creative, clever, curious, and theoretical, ENTPs have a broad range of possibilities in their lives.

ENTPs as Lovers

ENTP's goals for their intimate relationships are similar to their other personal goals: improvement and growth. They constantly ask themselves questions such as: How can the relationship be improved? Where is the relationship headed? Am I growing in the relationship? They are likely to enthusiastically embrace new ideas and projects for themselves and their mates which they feel will propel them along their goal for growth and knowledge discovery. The ENTP's general enthusiasiam and good intentions are usually quite positive and healthful in a relationship.

A problem area for ENTP's is their tendency to not follow through on their schemes. This can be frustrating to their mates. It may also create a "boy who called wolf" syndrome in their relationships, with their partner never believing that the ENTP will actually do what they say they'll do.

Another potential problem area is the ENTP's general tendency towards "wildness" and willingness to take risks. They may lead the family into uncomfortable financial situations, which can be quite stressful on intimate relationships.

Sexually, the ENTP is enthusiastic and interested in positive, constant growth for both partners. They're likely to be very attentive, involved, and questioning. They enjoy spontaneity rather than fixed schedules, and fully embrace new ideas and adventures. They're likely to approach intimacy as more of a physical act which conveys affection, rather than as an opportunity to explicitly express affection.

In general, ENTP's childlike enthusiasm and genuine interest in the health and direction of the relationship makes them willing and able to promote healthy, growing relationships with their significant others. Although two well-developed individuals of any type can enjoy a healthy relationship, ENTP's natural partner is the INFJ, or the INTJ. The ENTP's dominant function of Extraverted Intuition is best matched with a personality that is dominated by Introverted Intuition. How did we arrive at this?

ENTPs as Parents

With their fun and upbeat natures, there's a little bit of kid inside all ENTPs. They approach parenthood with a fun-loving attitude which has a serious underlying goal: to make everything a learning exercise (for themselves as well as for their children) which promotes the child's growth into an independent, logical thinker.

The ENTP is likely to be somewhat inconsistent about spending quality time with their children. One minute they will exhibit a lot of interest and enthusiasm towards being around their kids, and will display a great deal of affection for them. However, as soon as they get caught-up in one of their grand schemes for improving a system somewhere, they're likely to inadvertantly neglect their kids.

ENTPs as Friends

ENTPs can get along with almost all other types of people. They are intuitive about what makes others tick, although they generally lack the ability to sympathize or relate to others who do not see things the same way as the ENTP. They are flexible and easy-going, and genuinely enjoy interacting with others.

Although the ENTP is able to get along with a wide variety of people, they are likely to choose to surround themselves with people who are intelligent, capable, and idea-oriented. Bookshelves are not only meant for books

Introducing, my bookshelves...

This one is for magazines and my few chinese novels.

This is where i open & close the glass door most often. All my current reads is stuffed here. As you can see, it's nearly full. So i'm thinking of releasing some books through BookCrossing.

On the left there's Lord of the Rings trilogy (Loaned The Hobbit to my cousin), The Da Vinci Code, Michael Crichtons and a couple of John Grishams to name a few.

On the left, dad's cookbooks and computer books.

Not all my bookshelves are filled with books. Left: Stuff toys, top right: my collection of primary school trophies, bottom right: Some old Reader's Digest copies and others.

You might have noticed that the little spaces between the books and the door is full of tiny figurines, toys and decoration stuff.

Dad brought this ET back from L.A.

I love the sherbet from Sushi King in KL. And the milk bottle behind is an antique. I dunno whether it is still available in the market. But it's real popular when i was a kid.

Yeah that's it. No idea why would anyone care about my bookshelves anyway.

HP6 during dinner

I have a habit of bringing a book along with me when i go out for dinner. I could never endure the 15 minutes to 45 minutes wait for for to be served.

And of course, i couldn't leave dear Potter behind when i went out for dinner just now.

It so happens that i finished my food extremely fast today, and resume right where Dumbledore just arrived at the Dursleys' house.

And then this waiter came to clear the dishes away. Stopped halfway and *me totally unaware* leaned over me to read the book. I was holding the book under the table, sort of. And he was there beside me. I mean, i dunno. It was totally weird.

I didn't noticed he was beside me, concentrating on Mr. Dursley's stunning disbelief face when he sees Dumbledore, until mum announced it was time to go, and then kindly reminded the waiter that HP6 costs RM99.

I'm rather glad that the waiter loves Harry Potter. I think he's one of those Indonesian or some other country's people who came to work here. I always think of them as insufficient educated. But there he was, eagerly wanting to read.

Many of my friends don't even bother to read the English version of Harry Potter. Too 'chim' they say. They prefer the Chinese translated one.

MPH Subang Parade Potter-fansless

Right. So i got my pre-ordered copy from MPH Subang Parade. "The Magic Moment" turned out to be quite a normal book buying experience.

Funny. I remember last year that same place, i went on the second day of launching and the 5th book was sold out. I was hoping there won't be a long queue at the counter today, like what i saw in the papers last year.

Guess what, i was there at around 10.30 a.m., went straight in and there wasn't even 1 second of queuing up! I stepped right in front of the cashier, showed my receipt and i'm out from MPH in no time.

MPH really did prepare for a huge crowd, as far as i can see. There was more cashiers than usual. But what happened to these scenes?

And in Malaysia last year:

There's so much hype and so many count-downs i thought everyone would be rushing to the bookstores today. Maybe it's because of the Malaysian book-reading habit, coz i hear that there are many HBP party experiences in the western countries.

Hmm... Not much ado here in Malaysia. I don't know about Kino or Borders or other MPHs out there, but my experience at the Subang Parade MPH was extremely dissapointing.

Hah, what's with my friend's father refusing to bring her to collect the latest HP book because he was afraid of the crowd.

My study desk is full of drafts as i'm the editor of my team.

I don't wanna bad-mouth my friends. But really, i feel like i'm writing all the articles.

I don't think they understand the different between news articles and the essays we used to write in school. They're different, okay?

And were're like a team of 10. 4 or 5 of us who have better command of English writes the articles. I did thought my job was editing, but... *sigh*

Iguanas as Pets!

Just came back from MidValley.

Dad bought me a spare NB-3L battery for my IXUS 700 and also a mini table top camera tripod from Jenova. I took some pics but now i'm too lazy to upload it to my post. Plus, it's getting pretty late already. I wanna finish this post and get some sleep.

There's this PetsWonderland in the highest floor of MidValley, and they just imported a lot of green iguanas. RM98 each.

Dad is planning to rear two iguanas. A male and a female. He's already looking for heat rocks, bedding stuff and anything that has to do with getting iguanas as pets.

Why not? Dad has reared fishes, dogs, and hamsters already. The dog was a long time ago, before he got married with mom and had me. The fishes, he once had an arowana that died eventually when it got too sick. Dad buried it under our mango tree, which is now chopped off.

He tried lots of other fishes later. We still have 3 in our small aquarium.

The big aquarium was left empty after ou whole breed of hamsters went extinct. Really, there was once where we had more than 10 hamsters at the same time as a result of 2 families having babies.

Back to iguanas. The books on iguanas at PetsWonderland was very expensive as most are hardcovers. So we went to MPH and dad bought a cheaper paperback on iguanas. He said it is important to know more about iguanas before you buy them.

That's the pet iguana part.

Here comes the photography part.

Been the owner of a sleek IXUS 700 for less than a month. Dad seems to notice that i'm beginning to put more interest into photography, and he sort of said something like: "Photography is not a cheap hobby."

Dad's old non-digital Minolta SLR is considered expensive at that time. And i think most DSLR equipments nowadays still don't come cheap for average-income people. Especially those lens thingy.

So i'm going to stick to my PNS and try to make the most out of it before getting real serious into photography. No SLRs for now. No use burning a hole in my pocket if i don't have the time and skills.

By the way, i just started another blog, a photoblog to be exact, on blogsome. Really like WordPress.

And i've been spending a lot of time on PhotoMalaysia lately. A bit too much time really. I still haven't finish editing my friends' articles for the NIE project i'm going to post about when i'm more homework-and-projects-free.

Taking Chinese Literature in my SPM

I've decided to take an extra subject for my SPM, which makes it 12 subjects altogether.

When the teacher first told us about the existence of Chinese Literature subject, i wasn't too enthusiastic about it. I'm not much of a Chinese person. The English novel and Chinese novel i read are 50:1.

But then i see my friends taking both Accounts and Chinese Literature and i don't wan't to be left out. So i went ahead and bought these three text books for Chinese Literature.

There are only three text books. One Chinese novel, one Chinese drama script sort of thing, and the other is wen yan wen, erm, ancient runes?

I actually finished the drama script and the novel already. Only i'm not quite used to those China/Taiwan style of Chinese.

As you can see, we are only starting to use the books this year.

According to our Chinese teacher, all questions and answers are provided in the books. It's like, every possible question that may come out in SPM, there is a model question and answer in the book. So the teacher said it would be quite easy to score an A.

The lessons will begin next Wednesday. I'm staying back after school. Going to take bus/walk to the place after lunch with my friends who are taking this subject too.

Screamyx, procrastinating, Harry Potter 6, Lord of the Rings

It's finally fixed, whatever the problem is. Been spending the whole day getting error messages. Kiasi said it was because of TM Net again, i dunno, it did crossed my mind that Al-Qaeda terrorist or some maniacs were attacking the net, though. LOL

So i said i won't be online until Friday. I lied, or rather, i broke my own promise.

I curi curi online until 1.20 a.m. the other day. It wasn't that bad, really, apart from not getting enough of beauty sleep and adding more backlogs to my pile of homeworks. Procrastinating. Yeah, that's the word. I think there's some sort of How to Stop Procrastinating articles on the net. Will get to that later.

Less than a week to Harry Potter 6. Can't wait.

Been in a very Lord of the Rings mood currently. Wonder why. Downloaded a couple of The Lord of the Rings music into my MP3 player. There's a very nice 9:08 minutes track by Arvika Stadsmusikkar and also May It Be by Enya. Keep replaying these songs over and over again.

What am i doing writing this post when i should in fact be sleeping!?!?

I am going to regret this.

Maybe i should consider restricting myself to 2 hours of online time per week. Yeah, not a bad idea. But i'm bound to come up with many lame excuses to get online, like i have to do research for my homeworks.

At least I learned that my friend in school, a guy named Jocien, has a nickname call Jojo. ROFLMAO!!! Jojo won't like it when i call him that at school tomorrow, which is just my point.

And then there's this very quiet guy in school called Wei Zhong, who doesn't act like himself when he's chatting. I'm still doubt he--nicknamed i'm a stupid boy--is the same guy as Wei Zhong. They sound so totally different. Double personality???

Stupid school rules

I broke the school rules, so does that mean i'm not a good student? We had a spot-check in school today. And i ended up parting with my beloved U87 CD (I had my friend to buy it for me yesterday. Too bad she brought it to school for me today.), my utility knife and my liquid paper.

Let's take a look at the Barang-barang Larangan section in my Buku Peraturan Sekolah ( School rules book, i think).

6. BARANG-BARANG LARANGAN

Pelajar-pelajar dilarang membawa barang-barang berikut ke sekolah:

6.1 Semua bahan cetak/elektronik yang berunsur lucah
6.2 Semua bahan cetak/elektronik yang berunsur antisosial atau antinasional

I have no problem with that. But look at this...

6.3 Pemadam jenis cecair (liquid paper)/'marker pen'/'highlighter'

We are not allowed to bring liquid papers to school FFS. They (meaning the school staff) claimed that it's because they don't want students to conteng the tables/chairs in school.

FYI, I used up approximately 1 correction tape (which is allowed in school) per month. Going for the cheaper types, i can get one at around RM2.70, which i'm not sure what's the price right now. Haven't been buying correction tapes since 2 years ago.

And then if i use liquid papers, it's around 1 liquid paper every 1 1/2year and perhaps longer. Never got around to finish them. My first one which cost me RM5 or so, was confiscated after 1 year's use by me and my friends, who used to borrow it from me (a lot). Then i got a new one that was confiscated in school today.

Which is more worth it? You do the math.

Note: Not trying to be a cheapskate or anything like that. But every cent counts.

I'm not finished yet. Ther's still 'marker pen' and 'highlighter' to go.

So, erm, no 'marker pens' allowed. I don't mind, i'm not a heavy marker pen user. Unlike some of my friends who uses marker pens a lot to write on mahjong papers when preparing presentations.

As for 'highlighter', i don't know what the hell they put that in the list for. They didn't confiscate my highlighter. They shouldn't anyway. What about highlighting important notes?

I'll skip a little and jump right to

So... so... So how come i'm allowed to bring stuffs like jangka lukis and sharpened pencils to school when i can't bring a utility knife to school? It's not like i'm going to hurt anyone with it.

A day in Kuala Selangor

Damn 512MB PenDrive SD card gone faulty on my brand new Canon Digital IXUS 700.

It went haywire in the middle of the day yesterday after lunch at a seafood restaurant, when i was trekking with dad and mum, sis and her family and sis's friend in Taman Alam in Kuala Selangor. I missed all the shots in the jungle. Where there are trees, birds, swamp, observation towers etc. etc.

Stupid memory error.

We had an hour and a half's walk in the taman. I didn't get to take pictures of open air burning in the park. You see, the park was supposedly managed by Malaysian Nature Society (dad is a member), so i wasn't expecting open air burning beside the road. I mean, who would?

On another note, along the treks, there were few birds. Probably because we weren't pro. bird watchers and don't know how to spot a bird. And along the road was very foul scents of animal shit. You also have to watch each and every step you take 'coz there are a lot of animal shit on the road. I don't mind, if that's nature.

Then on the way back home, we stopped by Pantai Remis. Missed another opportunity to take photos. There were lots of hawker stalls by the traffic-jammed road. And the sea water was... black colored.

Sorry. Due to stupid camera went haywire, no pics of the beautiful but air polluted Taman Alam and the water polluted Pantai Remis.

ICTS Fair

This post is a bit old. I kept it in draft and nearly forgotten all about it.

I know i want a digital camera with lots of manual functions, but somehow, dad and i ended up with a Digital IXUS 700. There weren't much choice at the ICTS Computer fair, which is where dad bought '700. Most of the dealers were selling compact/ultra compact digital cameras. I didn't see any with lots of manual functions.

And it was kinda fun at the fair, even though i'm having fever due to (maybe) too much alcohol. (I consumed Heineken, red wine and champaine the day before XD)

The best thing that happened was not really that dad bought a digital camera. It was actually the first time dad doesn't erm... hate Apple.

Dad was always complaining that Apple is not compatible and how Windows would do better. And then i was like, that was then. Now Apple's compatibility is not much of a big problem. Give it a few years and it'll do a hell lot better.

And there people are still waiting for Longhorn.

And plus, i've been spending a hell lot of time and energy on an ARG--Zoe's World. Those puzzles and codes are damn tough, man.

Just had lunch at my grandparent's house. My grandmother made me wanna kiss her.

One thing about having meals in my mother's hometown is that no matter how much i eat, i won't feel guilty when putting on weight. My grandmother complained that i've slimmed down (So skinny oredi ah, you.) and taller than the last time we met, when in fact, i'm 3kg heavier and didn't even grew a milimeter taller lol.

But whatever, if i looked slimmer to her, maybe i am after all. I'd rather be glad that i'm slimmer than worrying so much about putting on weight.

I knew this was coming. A long and much sought after lecture from my dear uncle. Not that i'm not looking forward to it.

You see, my third uncle, which is my third aunty's husband, is a very succesful man. Though he only had education until standard three, he is now one of the top sales managers in an insurance company, training people who are holding doctorade or PhD certificates.

My uncle teaches me a lot and i respect him very much. Though he didn't have much education when he was young, he is forever learning. He used to have extremely weak command of English. Until now, he still can't name you all 12 months in a year, except May, because his daughter's name has the word May in it. But he's learning and can slowly understand more English vocabularies.

My third uncle also talks a lot about subconscious mind stuff, which i still don't quite understand. And he loves to play with numbers. He is a genius with anything related to numbers, if you get what i mean.

Yesterday night, he taught me the basics to reading plans. You know, those bulding plans, floor plan, roof plan, electrical plan and stuff. I don't know what a lot of those abbreviations meant, but it's not that hard really, most of those tiny pictures are labeled so it's not that hard to figure out.

Anyway, it was fun. My uncle has high hopes in me. I don't understand why they always say that i'm intelligent and bright coz i'm not, really. My grades in school isn't excellent and i'm not good in any other things either. Which is why i'm sometimes under pressure because i don't wanna dissapoint them.

( Update: Just that day he asked if i know what's the best university in the world. I said Harvard and he was like, telling my second uncle, see? This girl knows quite a lot.

The he asks if i know who is Gates. I went, "Sure. Bill Gates." and he made it sounds like i'm very smart.

What the?!?! Who doesn't know Harvard and Bill Gates? He thinks i live in a cave or something? )

Uncle is so succesful i sometimes think it's such an honour to talk with him. *Pssst... He says his price for an hours lecture to other people is like, a whopping thousand dollars!*

Either way, he's a very highly respected man and i'm very lucky to have him as my uncle.

On the way back to Triang, my mum's hometown. Dad's faithful 15-year-old Toyota liteace is pretty shaky, literally. And again, i'm writing on my pocket-PC. Will beam it to dad's notebook to post on Blogger.

Bought the June issue of PC Gamer when i was waiting for dad, who was having his checkup at SJMC for his piles surgery last month. Spent 3 whole hours under the hot sun clutching the magazine coz for some reason, dad told me to wait by the car intead of in the hospital, where they provide comfy seats for visitors.

Back to the PC Gamer magazine. I don't usually buy magazines. I prefer books. And i'm not a gamer either. I don't play PC games, unless you count the 30 minutes i spend playing Resident Evil 3 after 6 hours of illegal downloading off the internet. Not to mention i deleted it after that.
But i love games. I just don't have much time to seriously play a game, not with 20 novels patiently sitting on my bookshelf waiting for me to read them. So instead of playing the games, i am more into reading about games. Like, you know, G4 TV on the net, or getting to know TS Online from my RO geek friend. I know a lot about the gaming industry although i don't play games.

That's why i was so surprised when i read about ARGs in PC Gamer. Will do some little research on ARGs when i'm not so busy.

Finally watched Madagascar yesterday night. Got the 11.05 p.m. tickets at the Bukit Raja Jaya Jusco's TGV.

I was impressed with the graphics and the sense of humour, but other than that, it was just another 3D animation movie to me. Don't get me wrong. The graphic designers and fellow animators did a great job IMHO, so did the voice actors. But in 2 or 3 years time, i won't remember much about the movie, unlike movies like The Lord of the Rings, which you could still picture the battle scenes years after.

Anyway, it was totally hilarious all right. I just love Marty ;)

Am writing this post from a pocket PC ;)

Actually, dad passed this IPAQ 3600 to me. He bought it last year, used it for some time, then for reasons unknown to me until now, he stopped using it.

Turns out he lost all information and data saved in this pocket PC just because he forgot to recharge the battery once (Dad wasn't bright enough to backup his files). It's weird. He didn't use the pocket PC for a few days and thought he didn't need to recharge the battery because the last time he used it, the batter was still quite full. Then when he start that thing again, every single file was gone.

--Note: Stopped writing due to frustration of pointing at the small touchscreen one letter at a time. Resume writing in the normal Blogger space.--

I figured he felt insecured or something like that, so rather than letting it collect dust, he gave it to me. Yipee!

Flamed

This is the first time ever i've been seriously flamed. Maybe i've been flamed before but i've forgotten, whatever.

I really don't believe it at first. It seems so pointless to me. But then i kinda enjoyed it LOL. Two idiots arguing sometimes sounds fun. But then again, i didn't expect anyone flaming my post. Especially a particularly short one where i didn't think thrice before posting.

And coincidentally, that guy who flamed me was named Frankie, which made me think of the Frankie Foo character from the PhuaChuKang comedy. ROFLMAO!

Anyway, i really think flaming is no big deal. I'd rather they voice out their unsatisfaction than keeping quiet and secretly hating me, disagreeing with what i said.

Maybe i feel better when there are people who doesn't hesitate to oppose confront me. I like to argue and i'm stubborn like a mule. It's extremely hard to change my opinion about something. Oh no, i think that's bad.

I still think that purple teddy bears is not a great idea to get a good first impression from other people ;-)

The elvish and hobbit name translator

I was reading blogs when i came across this post from here and decided to give it a try myself.

Being a Tolkien fan, it was truly amazing and wonderful to have my first and last names (i used Vivian and Eng) translated into elvish and hobbit here and here.

So now my elvish name is Sairalindë Telperiën. And my hobbit name Rosie Maggot.

My elfish name looks good, but i don't like Rosie. It's so feminine.

Mum needed to use the phone just now, so i went offline and created this 2 minutes picture using my Photoshop CS2 trial version while waiting for her to finish her conversation.

I actually had no idea what's this all about. I stole the original picture from stock.xchng, then did a couple of copies. It's actually made from three same pictures. The picture at the back i filtered with underpainting. The middle one i filtered with film grain. The clearest on top i did some smart sharpening with it. Not quite sure what to do with it, so i posted it here.

Anyway, it's kinda troublesome everytime there's an incoming phone call, i'd have to disconnect the line so that mum could answer the phone clear and loud.

I'm using Screamyx. And when the installation guy came over ~~with her girlfriend/fiancee/wife in the car outside, waiting~~ to install it into my dad's notebook last year, i was told we have a splitter thingy, which enables us to receive incoming calls while online at the same time.

What he didn't told us was that even though i can receive incoming calls-and also make outgoing calls-the phone is so noisy i can barely make out what the person on the other line is talking about. So much for Streamyx promising us this->

What happens if I receive a call while accessing the Internet?

It seems like a long time ago i totally forgot to blog about it. Then Mango MSN me the moment i logged in just now... Just came back from school... will post pics from school around next week.

Back to the thing Mango and Milly kindly reminded me. It happened a couple of months ago. I was bored, had nothing to do... So i tried some chinese article writing and wrote a short piece about blog and it's service providers, stuff like what is blog, who blogs...

The first time my hasil kerja... erm... work published in magazines happened a long time ago... back when i was like, 11 or 12 years old. That was an essay the teacher submitted for me to the publisher. I also had a comic strip published in another magazine before... That reward was a measly RM2.

Honestly, i wrote/drew for the money. So the RM2 kinda discouraged me. I didn't tried writing articles to the publisher for some time. Then i wrote my first piece of work to BulananPelajar (Also known as Shao Nian) during my end-of-the-year holidays the year before. It was my first attempt and it got published! I got around RM35. I mean, i've heard many cases where you have to try many times before it gets published.

I'll write again if i'm too bored to do anything else. Besides, earning some money won't do no harm. Anyway, i'll never get to write something that'll cost RM120, like Jason's Ayam Percik Buntut, which Mango mentioned to me.

Going to school tomorrow. Need to sleep early. I slept until 12.30 p.m. this ~~morning~~ afternoon. Nearly missed my lunch.

Things aren't going too well. I'm still sick with a running nose and coughing a lot. I haven't touch my school homework, needless to say my tuision homework too.

Am halfway through the last book of the Darren Shan saga. By the way, Darren just had his new re-designed website up today. It was way better than the old one.

I'm also trying to design a few logos for my project in school. Need to act fast as my Photoshop CS2 is a 30 days trial version.

Been hoping to get a new digital camera for ages. My old one was a RM50 Kodak camera, which mum got me for my birthday.

I started wanting to learn photography long before i joined the Flickr community. But i just couldn't afford having spending an awful lot of money on developing the films. So i pestered dad to get me a new digital camera with lots of manual functions, not those point-and-shoot ones.

When dad step into FotoZoom a couple of days ago, the salesman caught his attention with the Canon Digital IXUS 700 and the Canon Digital IXUS 50. The IXUS 50 is a bit smaller and weighed less than IXUS 700. Personally, on the physical side, i prefer the IXUS 700.

Most of the features are about the same, according to the salesman. Only of course, one is a 7-megapixel, the other a 5-megapixel.

I mentioned that i wanted one that i can operate manually. I'm not very familiar with camera stuff, but i googled for both cameras and found that both doesn't have manual focus. Does it really matter if i'm learning photography? I dunno. Anyway, I'll have to tell dad about that.

I'm not very good when it comes to choosing digital cameras, and so is dad. So to avoid buying the camera that is not suitable for myself, i've been doing a lot of reading reviews and figuring out what white balance and things like that is. An online Digital Camera for Dummies would help a lot, if there is one.

Urghh... Headache...Getting a suitable camera can be so frustrating sometimes.

Pressure test

The higher that moving speed, the higher pressure you have. Most chidren and old men only see static pictures and not moving. If you see the pattern moving in a slow motion, that means you have a bit pressure at this moment .

I'm not sure if i'll be able to wake up at 7.00 a.m. tomorrow morning. No wait, this morning, afterwards.

Mum has an appoinment at the Country Heights Health Sanctuary in The Mines at 9.30 for a health screening.

And well, assuming that she'll be there for quite some time, i booked 2 tickets at the TGV Cinema at The Mines for Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith, just in case. I tried to reserve tickets at MidValley's GSC but they were fully booked all through midnight. And dad says i worry too much about long queues at the ticket counters.

Won't be back till late night tomorrow, erm late night today.

Hapland 2

I'm a little late at this, due to mid-terms. Anyway, if Hapland had you addicted, trust me, you wouldn't want to miss this. I'll keep this short. Don't think these information will help much.

Foon.co.uk has not let it's Hapland fan down with the release of Hapland 2 on the 17th of May, the game that i quote, everyone's talking about, end of quote.

Just in case you have not heard about it, let me give you a brief introduction to Hapland.

Basically, you click on stick figures and objects to trigger events. Yeah, this is yet another point-and-click flash game, but wait till you see the whole story. Your goal is to light up both torches and open the stone portal to unleash the power within, as many would have put it. The end of the story includes some amazing and somewhat futuristic scene.

As you can see from the above screenshot, Hapland games have relatively simple graphics, with it's own Robin Allen style and it's animation is just smooth.

Your mouse pointer turns into the familiar hand shape when you come across a certain object that serves a purpose, so you'll know exactly what to click. With some common sense, you should be able to figure it out. You step on a landmine, you explode. It's that simple. But the real challenge here is the combinations and the sequences of events, not failing to mention the perfect timing.

Hapland 2 is similar to the original Hapland in terms of the graphic design and the sound effects, although the 2nd game looks more detailed than the 1st. But well, the ending wasn't as grand and beautiful as the 1st', which made me kinda like...that's it?

Like the original Hapland, there is no turning back once you made a wrong turn. If the fishing line broke, you'll have to start all over again. Also keep in mind that the stick figures are meant to help you complete the task, so be careful not to explode them, as they are easily killed.

Now the trick to completing the game is-like all point-and-click games-click on everything and watch. Watch what happens and once you tried out most of the options you can take, piece everything together and you'll see that most of the events work accordingly to the law of nature. Except perhaps the bursting of the clouds.

Enough of talking. Let's play. It took me around 2 1/2 hours to finish the whole thing. Much longer than the original Hapland, but it's absolutely worth it. There many sites where you can play Hapland or Hapland 2 out there if you search for "Hapland". But i suggest the one from foon.co.uk. You can play Hapland 2 here. Good luck!

Warning: These are for lazy gamers without brains only. Please give it a try yourself before seeking help from the walkthrough below.

Open the door in the roof. Click on the red dot thing to turn it into the green arrow. Click on the small yellow arrow beneath it to make the stick man walk right and fall through the hole. Then click on the green arrow to turn it back into red. Click on the crate the to the right of the stick man to let out a grenade. Repeatedly click on the little yellow arrow to make stickman throw the grenade up, which will then be blasted forward by the red dot. The grenade will fly into the door on the right side of the screen and blow it up. Then click on the pink plank sitting right on top of the crate (where the grenade came out of) until it falls off and makes a ramp. Click on stickman to make him go thru the door you just blew up. Open the window to scare the blob down to the ground.

NOW, look at the top left side of the screen. Tilt the lamp and turn it on so that light shines on the balls. Click on the crow, which will pick up a ball and fly across the screen. Here's where you need timing: Click on the 1st cloud as the crow flies by to make it drop the ball on the antennae on the hill below. Now click the blob to get it out of the way; it will go into the water.

Turn on the underground switch to make the light underneath the steps light up. Click the blue arrow pointing right on the circular underground thing. This will make the "wheel" on the steps rotate clockwise. Click on the stairs to make it move right. Ring the doorbell to make stickman come out and climb onto the roof.

Click the crow again to pick up another ball, but THIS time, click the 2nd cloud as the crow passes by, making it drop the ball into the catapult. Now here's the neat part: Once you click a cloud three times, it explodes the third time. You've already clicked the 1st cloud once, so click it again. You need timing again at this point. Click the 1st cloud for the third and final time to make it explode, and then click on the stickman at the catapult ASAP! He'll launch the ball, which will fly through the acid rain from the cloud and turn into a fireball which will then destroy the banner. Whew, there's still more.

Click on the man on the top floor of the castle on the left to make him fall to the lower floor. Timing here is once again crucial: Click the door-thing underneath the stained-glass window to make a fly and another stickman come out. Then just keep clicking on the fan in the wall (there's a faint arrow pointing to it) to make the fly bug the other stick man. Once the fly passes through the fan, click the stickman on the right to let him walk safely underneath the suspended crate.

Now click on the leftmost stickman to make him fall again and so that he's next to the lever. All levers should now have an accompanying stickman. Let's start with the bottom stickman: Click on the arrow below him to switch it from left to right. Then click on stickman to make the water flow right. Then click the middle stickman to open the trapdoor. Finally, click the top stickman to release the suspended crate.

Timing needed here: A fish will come out of the box and fall into the water. Once the fish hits below stair level, click on the large underwater gate to let the fish flow by and get caught by the fisherman. Turn off the water current by clicking on the appropriate stickman. Then click the fisherman, who'll eat the fish and bounce up to the roof of the castle. Click on him when he's on top to light the first torch.

Now for the second torch: Turn on the water current again so that it flows right. Click on the red dot to turn it into a green arrow again and click the small yellow button to make the stickman at the catapult go inside on the right. Open the window to make another blob come out. Click on the new blob to make it explode the underwater mine. Turn off water current (this might not be needed but just in case). Click on the blue left arrow on the circular underground switch to make the wheel on the stairs turn counter-clockwise. Click on the stairs to move it next to the crate.

Last bit... more timing!: Ring doorbell to let stickman out. Click crate when he's almost to the top of the stairs to make him fall into the crate. He'll bust out of the crate in a monster truck (literally), so click on the underwater gate in time to let the truck pass. Stickman will ditch the truck and climb into the castle to light the second torch. NOW you can flip both underground switches to activate the portal.

OMG... My last post was dated Monday, April 25, 2005! I've managed to keep away from blogging for almost a month and i don't even realise it! Not that i'm not excited about blogging anymore, but the mid-terms...

Arghhh... My mid-terms... I don't like to use bad words, but i totally screwed up all the fuckin papers! Damn, i might even get my first 'fail'ed paper in my entire 15 year-old life.

BM (Malay) was a disaster... There are 2 papers. The first paper i got 38 out of 110... Pathetic, yeah? I wasn't good at BM anyway, but 38/110... That's like... Ugh... I don't wanna talk about it.

BC (Chinese). I don't know... i think i got some of them right...

BI (English). I don't think it's hard. But then again, things may not always turn out as i like.

I was planning to list down all 11 subjects. Changed my mind. It's kinda hard for me to blog, watch G4TV E3 videos, chat and surf the net at the same time. And so much has happened since i'm not quite sure i remember them all, so i'll pass.

This is another temporary farewell post.

You see, dad was in the SJMC a few days ago and only got discharged on Thursday. It was a minor surgery to get rid of his piles.

Piles (haemorrhoids)
Piles, or haemorrhoids, are areas in the anal canal where the tissue, which contains lots of blood vessels, has become swollen. They can be internal, occurring inside the anus, or external, when they can be seen and felt on the outside of the anus. When visible they look like round pink swellings, the size of a pea or a grape. By the age of 50, up to half the population of the UK will have suffered from piles at some point. Piles are common in pregnant women, but are rare in children.

Surgery
Known as haemorrhoidectomy - this is usually reserved for third degree piles or if the procedures mentioned above fail. Each pile is tied off with a surgical stitch, or suture, and then the pile is cut away. This leaves sore healing areas, or ulcers, which will heal in about six weeks. Dad's butt still hurts.

Which brings to why i'm going offline for some time.

Reason No. 1: Dad is on MC (Medical certificate?) leave until the 5th of May. That somewhere around three weeks! He's not going to the office, which means that the notebook will not be brought home until then. ~~Unless dad sacrifices his butt and goes to the office to bring the notebook back home.~~

Reason No. 2: Mid-year exam starts in 2 weeks. That is 12th of May until 27th of May. ~~I am going to work hard and prepare for my exam~~ I won't say that i'll be able to concentrate on last minute buddha-leg-hugging revisions if i'm AFK, but at least i can't blame surfing for getting bad results.

Anyway, Reason No. 1 is cancelled. Dad did sacrificed his butt to get me the notebook. All because i need it to do my EST homeworks, or rather 'assignments', as Mrs. Raynie put it. I'll see if i have enough self control to keep AFK anyway. Best not to fool with the exams.

Politics matters to me? What the heck? I can't even give you the correct definition of 'politics'.

Okay, athletic. I do not find the time to work athletic pursuits into my schedule. Uh-uh. I spend like what, 30 minutes per week brisk walking. That's per week. Honestly, i wake up at 6 a.m. every weekdays. And if i'm really going to jog in the morning, that would be like waking up 5 in the morning to exercise. Which also means that i'll have to sleep at 9.30 p.m. the previous night to get the sufficient 7 1/2 hours of beauty sleep. I am not creating excuses that i-like most typical Malaysians-don't bother to excercise. But yeah, i do enjoy being active. I'm still on the lookout for opportunities to do stuff like bungee jumping, mountain climbing etc. etc. I mean, i can't possibly do those activities on my own, right? And dad is too ~~old~~ ~~mature~~ senior to do those extreme sports with his daughter.

As for adventurous, i'm wondering why it's not on the top of the list. Even when i'm just a little kid, i can't stay still. You'll see the young little girl going all over the restaurant, sight seeing, being careful not to knock into the waiters, while mum and dad ordered food and waited for the long 15-30 minutes for the food to be served. There is just no way i'm going to sit quietly in the baby-chair playing with forks and spoons.

Stylish, intellectual, wealthy/ambitious, outgoing, practical, traditional, big-hearted. I have to agree with all of them, with the exception of 'traditional'.

Ha! I got it! 2 Naruto No Go figurines from the MidValley animetech outlet.

One is a boy with yellow hair i the front, black coloured hair at the back, wearing black shirt with yellow buttons.

Another i dunno the gender. It's wearing light green big sleeves shirt, and a tall black...erm...hat, it think. Oh ya, i think it's also holding a fan. Purple hair.

No idea about the characters. It's for my friend, see? I'm an anime illiterate. Anyway, the figurines costed RM9.90 each. I was expecting much higher price.

Can't wait to see my friend's happy face when i give it to her tomorrow.

Streamyx connection is back to normal again! Phew... I thought it's just me getting used to the snail-speed, so i ran another speed test again. Ha! It is running fast again. Here's another post who mentioned that Streamyx is back to normal again.

It's not just that Streamyx speed up. With faster broadband speeds, i work faster too.

It's getting too frustrating just to surf the net i'm going offline once i finish this post. Screamyx sucks. And now it will only be fixed latest by 20th of April? What's with the RM88 i-or rather, dad-pays every month?

Ran a speed test that showed 75.5kbps. That's probably a sign from God that i should get AFK, according to mom.

So i can't watch video clips, can't play online games, can't surf an image gallery, can't eat, can't sleep, etc. etc. Those 'please wait' messages that normally blinks and dissapears. They now stay on the screen for like what, 5 minutes, 10 minutes?

Ha! I don't believe it. She started this blog since March and i know nothing about it until today. And that's only when i clicked on the Homepage link from the comment she left me.

So i read her blog and... heehee... i now know things about her i never knew before. Just kinda worried she might not want me to read it, like i prefer my friends in school not reading my blog. Is that why she didn't tell me about her blog? After all, it is a diary. And reading other people's diary is considered immoral.

Personally, i like her blog very much. It's not like the usual serious stuff you see, but not as crazy as MichaelOoi's either. Her posts are all candid and IMHO, her life is pretty interesting. I'll make it a point to read it often, assuming she allows me to.

Got saman-ed in school

Now if you think i'm a good student in school, you're wrong. I just got a saman in school today during a 'spot check' session.

You see, our school's discipline system works like this. If you get caught doing something against the school rules, the prefects will give you a saman. And every now and then, the prefects come up with a 'spot check' without a warning.

I did no serious offence. I got a saman 'cos my fingernails were too long. Actually, it was my first ever saman. It didn't upset me in anyway, though. I was like, you wanna give me a saman? Oh, okay. Where do i sign? Here? There you go.

I mean, why should i be upset about it? I deserve the detention, don't i? Oh by the way, did i mention the detention will be km? That's Khidmat Masyarakat. Or in English, Community Service. When the prefect who issued me the saman is free, she'll take-or rather, escort-me to pick up rubbish in the school grounds. Yup, cleaning the school. It's not that bad, really, when you can get time off from lessons, get out from the class, stretch a bit. Come to think of it, repeatingly bending your body to pick up rubbish from the ground is an exercise too. LOL!

Maybe i shouldn't be so happy with getting a saman. But honestly, i look forward to anything i've never done before. And the KM thing is a first for me.

On the other hand, a friend's handphone was confiscated by the prefects during the 'spot check'. There is a school rule saying that electrical devices-including handphones, mp3 players, and walkmans-are not allowed in school. But then, she called her father using the public phone to get his father to school. Her father came to school, talked to the discipline teacher, and got the handphone back for his daughter. It was he who told his daughter to bring her handphone to school in the first place, in case of emergency.

Another friend kinda outwited the prefects. He hid his handphone underneath his desk and the prefects weren't smart enough to look for it there. Lucky for him.

Wow... ain't this amazing? Wondering who designed it? Here goes a snippet from The Leonardo Bridge Project.

In 1502 Leonardo da Vinci did a simple drawing of a graceful bridge with a single span of 720-foot span (approximately 240-meters.) Da Vinci designed the bridge as part of a civil engineering project for Sultan Bajazet II of Constantinople (Istanbul.) The bridge was to span the Golden Horn, an inlet at the mouth of the Bosphorus River in what is now Turkey.

The Bridge was never built.

Leonardo's "Golden Horn" Bridge is a perfect "pressed-bow." Leonardo surmised correctly that the classic keystone arch could be stretched narrow and substantially widened without losing integrity by using a flared foothold, or pier, and the terrain to anchor each end of the span. It was conceived 300 years prior to its engineering principals being generally accepted. It was to be 72 feet-wide (24 meters), 1080-foot total length (360 meters) and 120 feet (40 meters) above the sea level at the highest point of the span.

Da Vinci had left sketchy instructions in his notebooks for the construction of his design. It has been suggested that he didn't intend for the bridge to be anything more than a visionary sketch. But evidence of a letter written to the Sultan, though not in Leonardo's hand, proves that it was intended as part of a millwork project. Since he hoped the Turkish prince would approve the project, he is unlikely to have presented a project that couldn't be executed.

Leonardo's design consists of a weight-bearing granite vault with a built up walkway that forms a crossing between terrain and vault. Granite is extremely strong under stress and the load force of the pressed-bow design is such that a slender and resilient span can be constructed. The flat bridge shape, which is also seen in the viaduct over the Golden Horn - described in the same terms as those between pier height and arch span - give the bridge elegance and boldness. This impression emphasizes the slim mid-portion of the bridge, which at its narrowest point, measures only 25.5 inches (65 centimeters). Towards the sides and bottom of the arch the construction thickness increases to 15 feet (4.5 meters) and an anchoring footing 42 feet (14 meters) wide flairs out on each end.

Finally, the Leonardo Bridge Project represents a historical connection between Europe and the Middle East, between Christianity and Islam. The Italian Renaissance was inspired by the scholarship of the Ottoman Empire. Leonardo, in turn, was fascinated by the Middle East. This aspect seems particularly relevant since the events of September 11, 2001, as the Leonardo Project expands into the global goodwill project Vebjørn Sand envisioned.

The Norwegian Leonardo Bridge was constructed and opened to foot and bicycle traffic on October 31, 2001. Da Vinci's vision resurrected, 500 years after the drawing was made. Vebjørn Sand is currently considering several sites in the United States for the next Leonardo Bridge Project.

A GLOBE-SPANNING TRIBUTE TO LEONARDO TO LOCATE SECOND BRIDGE IN TEXAS

The University of Texas of the Permian Basin, in Odessa, a component of The University of Texas system, makes plans to construct the second Leonardo Bridge Project in the world. A press conference announcing the project will be held at UTPB 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, Jan. 25.

Italian artist, scientist, and Renaissance man Leonardo da Vinci designed a beautiful 720-foot bridge for Sultan Bejazet II one afternoon in 1502 to span the Golden Horn — an inlet of the Bosphorus River in what is present day Istanbul, Turkey. He never dreamed it would take 500 years for his pressed-bow designed bridge to be built. Nor, that its graceful symmetry would result in a global public art project creating a network of bridges, each a living tribute to his life. Inspired by the legacy of curiosity about the natural world left to us by this iconic creator, the Leonardo Bridge Project integrates art, architecture, natural sciences, history and mathematics, to inspire people, regardless of culture, with the awesome creative potential of the human mind.

Celebrated Norwegian artist, Vebjørn Sand, who built the first Leonardo Bridge outside Oslo, Norway, and guides the global Project, will attend the Texas news conference. A two-foot model of the bridge will be on display as part of the presentation for the media. His artistic imagination was captivated by the utter simplicity and eloquence of the design, inspiring his re-imagining of it as a place where “all pairs of opposites meet.” The Norwegian Transportation Ministry constructed the first bridge in 2001.

UT Permian Basin received a grant for construction of the Project. It is another public installation on the campus that graphically demonstrates the University’s commitment to the arts and sciences, and a tribute to Texans’ penchant to “think big.” In 2004, the University constructed a life-size Stonehenge replica (exact width and stone placement with 70 percent of the vertical height of the stones reaching 18 feet and weighing 20,000 to 40,000 pound each) to demonstrate how accurately ancient astronomers constructed methods of tracking the sun, stars and planets.

Leonardo envisioned his bridge constructed of stone as he indicated in a letter outlining his plans to the Turkish Sultan. The UTPB Project will be constructed in Texas limestone from Garden City, stone that is naturally embedded with a fossilized record of the Permian Basin.

The Leonardo Bridge Project melds art, through its symmetry and poetic power; and science, through its innovative engineering and mathematical principles. Seattle architect, David Hewitt, in discussing the Leonardo Bridge Project commented, “I consider myself a modernist and resist copying anything from the past. But this bridge intrigues me because it is like a brilliant passage of music, fresh with every new interpretation.”

Vebjørn Sand notes, “The traditions of the Renaissance may have lost their influence in recent years in American culture. However, we forget the story of European history at our peril. The great mathematicians of Arabic civilizations contributed immeasurably to the success of the Italian Renaissance, clarifying Greek discoveries forgotten while northern Europe slept through the Dark Ages. Individuals create and recreate civilization on our planet. Remaining curious about eternal truth, beauty and meaning, as Leonardo showed us, is a way for it to flourish.”

The Leonardo Bridge Project has caught the imagination of the world media, inspiring articles in Wired Magazine, Time Magazine and the New York Times. It has been included in middle school textbooks on mathematics and design. It has also been adopted as a pet project of UNESCO’s “Bridge Schools for Peace.”

消息指出，教育部日前已作出有关的调职决定，并将在4月1日开始生效，但蔡炎均的新职位有待确定。

Sorry for the Chinese words. But i simply don't bother to translate them. It's just that we are going to lose our beloved school principal.

Students and parents went on strike on Tuesday. You'd know if you read the Wednesday Chinese newspapers. I didn't join the crowd 'cos i'm halfway through my BM monthly test. But from what i heard from my friends, it was just rallying and police officers inside the school, 'cos they wouldn't allow students out of the school grounds. Hmm... hope i didn't miss much. It lasted around 15 minutes and students started going back to their classes, reluctantly of course.

I'm not sure what exactly happened, it's sort of all complicated between our school principal and the 董事部. Or at least something like that. I'm not that sure about what really happened, 'cos there're sooo many rumours flying around i'm not sure which is true. So i can't give my opinion on this issue, not until i'm clear with what's going on.

We, that is SMJK Kwang Hua's students were given a form for our parents to sign to support Mr Chua Yam Ken. Mum signed it all right. I think dad still don't know about this. They didn't mention it in the English newspapers, did they?

Me and two of my friends interviewed Mr Chua when we were in Form 2, as part of a project. From what i learned during that one-hour interview, Mr Chua is highly ambitious. He has lots of blueprints of projects he planned to do but has yet to get approval from others-you know who-. And it wasn't just talk but no action. Several projects he mentioned to us have been finished since then.

I mean, he contributed so much to our school. A new Dataran Kwang Hua, a "cyber-cafe" where students can surf the net using coupons purchased from the school, new blocks to house students. If it wasn't for him, we 4S3 will still be having lessons in the laboratory.

Anyway, the new principal's probably going to come to school tomorrow. We'll see.

The 大肥 Restaurant in Klang

Not really in blogging mood these few days. Dunno what's wrong.

Went to eat 面粉糕 mee hun kuei at Berkeley, Klang. It is called 大肥. My 7th aunt recommended this. She even have a book that introduces the 大肥 restaurant.

We arrived at 12.30 p.m. It's a small restaurant without air-conditioning. 12. 30 p.m., lunch time. It should be and was stuffed with customers. We ordered 3 bowls of mee hun kuei and waited around half an hour for the food to be served. Not because they work slowly, but because there were so many people crowded in the tiny restaurant.

Dad said there was nothing special about the mee hun kuei after he finished it. Well, it was okay. I never was good at food tasting anyway.

At 1.30 p.m. when we were leaving, the people were still coming in non-stop. So you can guess how famous it is. Go try it out. It's that particularly over-crowded restaurant. You won't miss it. Be prepared to wait for at least 30 minutes, though.

Popular stock clearance at Summit

Since when do Malaysians become book lovers? I didn't think many Malaysians read books until today, at the Popular stock clearance at Summit USJ.

I arrived at about 8 p.m. and it was already crowded. The first thing i saw was the three Robert Ludlum: The Bourne Identity, The Bourne Supremacy and The Bourne Untimatum. Each's original price was RM33.90. I bought all three and got a 20% discount only. It still burned a hole in dad's pocket.

The craziest prize knock-down was the cookbooks. I think it was because cookbooks doesn't sell fast, Popular put a 90% discount on all cookbooks. Most of them costs about RM9.90, which means each sells for around RM0.99. Is that cool or what?

I hanged around there reading the third Darren Shan book of the Cirque du Freak series. I never dreamed of actually finding the book here in Malaysia. I don't know. The first two books i got from fellow bookcrossers in the US. I tried looking for other books of that series but can't find any.

Finished the book at around 10 p.m. There were about 100 people in the queue. No kidding.

Glad that we Malaysians finally picked up the reading habit. Or was it because they were 99 cents?

Game review --The Dead Case

I spent the whole afternoon with my sis, Yun Hui, playing a computer game--The Dead Case ( the original site was here ). It was kinda boring at first, when we got frustrating 'cos we couldn't figure what to do. But then, the game was extremely easy with hints from the game itself. You wouldn't really need a walkthrough.

Sis doesn't hang out with computers much. She ain't like me, who is a total computer geek. Sis seldom touch computers, so she was pretty excited when it came to computer games.

Now, The Dead Case.

Created by Zachary Shaffer of the Spook Spot, The Dead Case is a mystery-type RPG flash game. The game took less than 30 seconds to load on my 1Mbps Streamyx. But, that also means that the whole game isn't very sophisticated and thus, come in a 4Mb package. Don't even compare the graphics with Halo or Doom 3, it's a flash game, dude. Flash plugin required, of course. No superb background music either. It keeps playing the same ol' detective-like music.

The good thing is, it's absolutely free.

The game is divided into Part 1 and Part 2. But it doesn't matter anyway.

You started off waking up in a buried coffin. ( Yes, you are a ghost )You hear laughing and crying sounds coming from somewhere on the east. Curious, you set out to explore.

Scare the little kids on the street even if you don't want to. After you scare three children, you will become more powerful and will be able to visit more spooky places. Look out for ghosts in the town. Talk to them.

The story unfolds slowly at the beginning. Some gets confused and can't piece the story parts together. Don't worry, you'll get to know more as you play. Always refer to the hint section when you are stuck. Basically, you won't need any help from forums if you just follow the instructions. The map serves as a good guide too.

In Part 2, you are more familiar with the characters. Find out how you became dead. Things are becoming easier to understand and the pieces fall into it's places eventually.

The whole game took me less than an hour ( and i'm not an avid gamer ). It's pretty much straightforward, even though it is considered as a mystery game. Try thinking out of the box. What's more, this game is perfectly suitable for amateur gamers who just step into the world of computer games. You wouldn't need special keyboard combos, or perfect timing, or make tough decisions that would decide your future. So amateur gamers can take their own sweet time and worry nothing about taking the wrong step.

With a rather unique storyline, this game is fun. There are many people out there who can't wait for the sequel, which is due coming out this year.

I give it a 7/10.

I can't help it. There's homework but i don't bother. Hey, it's the school holidays!

Anyway, i was browsing around until i came across this. It's just awesome.

Just in case you can't solve it, here's a walkthrough by lyzard.

Spoiler:

This will explain how to beat this game, so don't read it if you want to figure it out on your own:

(Note: I purposely made the font black so you wouldn't 'accidentally' took a peek. Just right-click and click select-all to view the walkthrough clearly.)

Start by opening both windows and and turning the hanging arrow around.
Next open the hatch and bring out the first stick guy by clicking the arrow pointing up.
Fire rock number one at the 'bridge', it will fall into place.
Fire the next rock at the bell. this will open the door on the left.
Next fire the 2 grenades at the bridge, you have to click on the bridge as the grenade reaches it to bat it into the air where it will explode.
Next, fire the blue card/key at the bridge, it will fall into the hole where stick guy 2 can use it.
After guy 2 opens the door click guy one back at the 'cannon', he will be loaded into the cannon. Bring out stick guy 3 by pushing the UP arrow once more.
Click guy 3 at the cannon to fire guy 1 up at the bell, as he reaches the spear, click the spear to bend it slightly so the guy can land under the bell.
Once guy 1 is on the 'tower' click him to move the tower to the right.
Click a few times to make it fall on the spear, launching the rock onto the landmine.
Next, click the door on the left and guy 4 makes his way to the door past where the landmine just blew up.
This is the tricky part: Right before guy 4 gets to the door, you need to click on guy 2 (below) to trigger him to begin walking.

Your timing has to be just right, so be prepared to do this last part a couple of times.

H2O rocket Pt-3

Shoulda blog yesterday, but something came up.

So, our water rocket. It worked surprisingly good. We weren't expecting much since the parachute wasn't functioning perfectly well when we put it to test. Either the parachute didn't deploy, or the rocket didn't went high up.

We managed to score a 6.32 seconds during our first attempt and 4.something during the second try. Wasn't that bad actually. A Form 5 team beated us with 8.something seconds, and another team from 4S4 beated us with a 7.something score. Most of the 1st and 2nd classes students got like what, 3 seconds? 2 seconds? Ha, time for the 3rd (Our class--4S3) and 4th class to shine!

Well, we didn't win the competition, but it was a great experience for me. Something to keep in mind, you know, we may not be the best ( in our school), but we did our best and that's all that matters.

H2O rocket Pt-2

Tomorrow's the big day. Our team is nearly finished with the water rocket.

So hopefully it will work tomorrow. You never know what might happen. You know, the parachute doesn't open in time and things like that. Anyway, it'll be fun.

H2O rocket Pt-1

Remember the water rocket competition i mentioned a few days ago? Well, it was supposed to be team work, but the three of us can't arrange our time to meet at the same time. So i was left making the rocket by myself.

I'm still trying to figure out the skewer part. Dad agreed to help, which is good 'cos the only thing dad was ever good at in school was crafts.

What can i do to help someone who may be suicidal

Take it seriously.

Myth: “The people who talk about it don't do it.” Studies have found that more than 75% of all completed suicides did things in the few weeks or months prior to their deaths to indicate to others that they were in deep despair. Anyone expressing suicidal feelings needs immediate attention.

Myth: “Anyone who tries to kill himself has got to be crazy.” Perhaps 10% of all suicidal people are psychotic or have delusional beliefs about reality. Most suicidal people suffer from the recognized mental illness of depression; but many depressed people adequately manage their daily affairs. The absence of “craziness” does not mean the absence of suicide risk.

“Those problems weren't enough to commit suicide over,” is often said by people who knew a completed suicide. You cannot assume that because you feel something is not worth being suicidal about, that the person you are with feels the same way. It is not how bad the problem is, but how badly it's hurting the person who has it.

Remember: suicidal behavior is a cry for help.

Myth: “If a someone is going to kill himself, nothing can stop him.” The fact that a person is still alive is sufficient proof that part of him wants to remain alive. The suicidal person is ambivalent - part of him wants to live and part of him wants not so much death as he wants the pain to end. It is the part that wants to live that tells another “I feel suicidal.” If a suicidal person turns to you it is likely that he believes that you are more caring, more informed about coping with misfortune, and more willing to protect his confidentiality. No matter how negative the manner and content of his talk, he is doing a positive thing and has a positive view of you.

Be willing to give and get help sooner rather than later.

Suicide prevention is not a last minute activity. All textbooks on depression say it should be reached as soon as possible. Unfortunately, suicidal people are afraid that trying to get help may bring them more pain: being told they are stupid, foolish, sinful, or manipulative; rejection; punishment; suspension from school or job; written records of their condition; or involuntary commitment. You need to do everything you can to reduce pain, rather than increase or prolong it. Constructively involving yourself on the side of life as early as possible will reduce the risk of suicide.

Listen.

Give the person every opportunity to unburden his troubles and ventilate his feelings. You don't need to say much and there are no magic words. If you are concerned, your voice and manner will show it. Give him relief from being alone with his pain; let him know you are glad he turned to you. Patience, sympathy, acceptance. Avoid arguments and advice giving.

ASK: “Are you having thoughts of suicide?”

Myth: “Talking about it may give someone the idea.” People already have the idea; suicide is constantly in the news media. If you ask a despairing person this question you are doing a good thing for them: you are showing him that you care about him, that you take him seriously, and that you are willing to let him share his pain with you. You are giving him further opportunity to discharge pent up and painful feelings. If the person is having thoughts of suicide, find out how far along his ideation has progressed.

If the person is acutely suicidal, do not leave him alone.

If the means are present, try to get rid of them. Detoxify the home.

Urge professional help.

Persistence and patience may be needed to seek, engage and continue with as many options as possible. In any referral situation, let the person know you care and want to maintain contact.

No secrets.

It is the part of the person that is afraid of more pain that says “Don't tell anyone.” It is the part that wants to stay alive that tells you about it. Respond to that part of the person and persistently seek out a mature and compassionate person with whom you can review the situation. (You can get outside help and still protect the person from pain causing breaches of privacy.) Do not try to go it alone. Get help for the person and for yourself. Distributing the anxieties and responsibilities of suicide prevention makes it easier and much more effective.

From crisis to recovery.

Most people have suicidal thoughts or feelings at some point in their lives; yet less than 2% of all deaths are suicides. Nearly all suicidal people suffer from conditions that will pass with time or with the assistance of a recovery program. There are hundreds of modest steps we can take to improve our response to the suicidal and to make it easier for them to seek help. Taking these modest steps can save many lives and reduce a great deal of human suffering.

How to face a mother who wants to commit suicide

Mum's going crazy with her suicidal thoughts again. This time, it's because dad wanted to order a new cabinet for me in my room.

Go on, laugh.

Mum's just that kind of person who doesn't appreciate anything and blame everything on others. She's a pessimist, i.e. A person who says that O is the last letter in ZERO, instead of the first letter in the word opportunity.

I guess that's how i became so optimistic. 'Cos mum's like a mirror to me.

Honestly, i'm worried about her. What if she really did something silly? I don't know how to handle a mum who kept saying that it's better if she's dead or words with that effect.

All the while, i ignore her ramblings about commiting suicide. So does dad. But now i'm thinking that maybe i'm wrong. Maybe i should do something to help her. But the question is, what can i do?

I'm still not done yet with my homeworks but i figured i can't be too selfish. Mum's case needs to be reviewed and i have to look for a good solution to end her it's-better-if-i'm-dead days.

In for the H2O bottle rocket competition

Apart from school homeworks i'm still trying to finish copying from my friends', i'm currently in for a school competition. It will be done by 3 persons a team, making a H2O rocket out of bottles. Ever heard of it?

When the teacher told us about the competition, i was clueless about what a bottle rocket is. Never heard of it. So then i looked up the net and, wow, there are water rocket proffesionals out there! I'm looking at pro competitions, Science Olympiads...

I had 2 friends who are interested too and the three of us handed our names to our physics teacher. Apparently, there are 32 teams in for a competition without a prize. Yup, no prizes if you won. But, you get a chance to compete in the nationwide-or is it state-wide?-physics competition. That's a good enough reason to participate. Though i don't feel too confident about our team. We haven't even started yet, and it's due next week. The other two girls aren't very excited about the whole water rocket thing, IMHO.

So, i found this great site that is very informative on water rockets.

It sure isn't easy to make one. I am getting less confident every single minute. It's like i'm the only one in my team who really want to do it right. Maybe it's just me worrying too much. Maybe they are enthusiastic but didn't show it on their faces.

I spent these few days dreaming the envy looks of my peers when my rocket shoots up into the blue sky... Ah...

The main reason i want to win this competition? I want at least a small achievement in my high school life. At least when i'm older, i can look back when i'm still in school and be proud of myself. I must be good at something, whatever it is. I'm not a hopeless useless git.

I'll be satisfied with 36 hours a day

Believe it or not, Form 4 is definitely not the year where you can relax after PMR. This is the first time ever i'm doubting that 24 hours is enough. I had some busy times in my 14 years of childhood, but none like this.

Honestly, in school, i don't have time to even drink water. You know, opening the cap and screwing it back takes time, which i can't afford. I spend every second doing unfinished homeworks. When i'm not doing my homeworks, it's because the teacher is teaching and i have no choice but listen, or the teacher will confiscate my books and pencil. So that's when i am not writing and thus, have a free hand to drink water. Pathetic, right?

t's 1 a.m. already and i'm still not done yet with my EST essay, due tommorow. Just 5 seconds ago i was preparing for an oral test i have to do tomorrow. Oops, err... today.

What the f*** am i thinking of blogging in the middle of an essay?! Urgghh...-connection failed-
