Moral subject is rubbish

The first nilai (value) in Form 4 Pendidikan Moral is 'Kepercayaan kepada Tuhan'. Our Moral teacher told us that "Semua orang mesti ada agama sendiri. Tak ada orang yang tiada agama" (Everyone have their own religion. There is no one who doesn't have a religion). That teacher honestly never heard of free-thinkers.

Okay, forget about the religion thing.

To be a Moral teacher, what are you suppose to have in the first place? The text book? To have memorized all 36 moral values? What's the first thing we learn in kindergarden? What's the magic word you should use when people give you something? What's the magic word when you've done something wrong?

Our Moral teacher certainly have worse manners than any student in my class. First she sneezed, and then she went along teaching without an 'excuse me'. Then she made a mistake, didn't bother to say 'sorry', then corrected herself and act like nothing happened. Third, you passed something to her, and she'll be too busy to mention 'thank you'.

With a Moral teacher like this, the only way we can get good results in Moral is by successfully memorizing all 36 moral values and their definitions.

Forget about the teacher. Let's look at the Moral excersices we are suppose to do.

1.

Oh sure, that's easy. Anyone one that has common sense should be able to answer the questions. But what's the use if you can list down all the good stuff
other people did? I mean, how many student who scored A1 in their Moral test do something to menangani masalah pembuangan bayi?

I guess you got what i mean. So please, i know Moral is very important in our lives. But if you want to put it in the curriculums, get real with it.
